HO-scale five-bay rapid-discharge hopper car in ELFX coal service livery, designed to model bulk-material transport on realistic layouts. It features a removable load for unloading demonstrations, a highly detailed injection-molded body, separately applied brake wheel and wire grab irons on the side ladders, and accurate paint and printing for prototypical realism. The model uses body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers, is weighted for stable operation, and rides on machined metal wheels with RP25 contours to run smoothly on common HO track. Fully assembled and ready to run, it requires a minimum 18-inch radius for curved track.

In real-world service, rapid-discharge hopper cars were deployed in unit trains to streamline bulk unloading between points like mines and power plants, with unloading times reduced to roughly 30 minutes to an hour. This HO model captures that heritage, making it a practical and visually authentic addition for layouts depicting coal operations and bulk-material transport.
