HO Maxi-III Well Cars are HO-scale models of double-stack intermodal freight cars, designed to reproduce the real-world well car design. The depressed well sits between the wheel trucks, allowing containers to ride lower than on a traditional flatcar and making it possible to stack two containers per car on lines with adequate clearance, perfect for creating realistic intermodal scenes on HO layouts.

These models feature prototypically correct 33-inch and 38-inch solid nickel-silver wheels with RP25 contours, are weighted for smooth operation, and use body-mounted McHenry knuckle couplers on the upper and lower shelves for reliable coupling. The highly detailed injection-molded body is painted and printed for realistic decoration, and the design accommodates a minimum curve radius of 18 inches, ensuring dependable performance on common HO-scale layouts.
