The HO GEN Trinity 5161 Covered Hopper is a highly detailed model designed for enthusiasts of railroading and die-cast models. This model features distinctly separate brake components, complete with a brake cylinder, valve, and air reservoir that incorporate wire brake plumbing for added realism. Both ends of the hopper are equipped with coupler cut levers and air hoses, further enhancing its authentic appearance. A photo-etched metal roofwalk and separately applied end cages and etched end platforms contribute to the detailed design of this model.

This covered hopper is designed with a standard size coupler draft gear box that utilizes a screw mounted lid along with body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers. The Genesis 100-ton trucks feature animated spinning roller bearing caps, ensuring smooth operation across tracks. The model is equipped with 36” machined metal wheels that adhere to RP25 contours, ensuring compatibility with all popular brands of track. Additionally, the hopper is weighted for optimum performance, with a minimum radius of 18” and a recommended radius of 22” for its operation.
