The HO GEN Trinity 5161 Covered Hopper represents a modern design in freight transportation, featuring the impressive IAIS #4035/4062/4088 paint scheme. This model is meticulously crafted to showcase the authentic details of the original 5161 cu ft covered hopper cars that are common in rail transport, especially for agricultural products and dry chemicals.

Designed with functionality in mind, the model includes separate brake cylinders, valves, and air reservoirs with realistic wire brake plumbing. Each end features a coupler cut lever and air hose. For added realism, the model incorporates a photo-etched metal roofwalk, separately applied end cages, and etched end platforms. It is equipped with body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, and the standard size coupler draft gear box includes a screw-mounted lid.

To enhance performance, the model comes with Genesis 100-ton trucks and animated spinning roller bearing caps. Additionally, it features 36” machined metal wheels that operate smoothly on all popular brands of track.
