HO GEN Trinity 5161 Covered Hopper STLX #6061 Plastic Model (ATHG-1080)

HO-scale Trinity 5161 Covered Hopper model in the STLX livery is a detailed plastic replica of a three-bay hopper with a 5,161-cubic-foot capacity, representative of a common North American design used to move bulk commodities such as agricultural products, sugar, or dry chemicals.

Designed for HO layouts, the model features a host of scale-detail elements: separate brake cylinder, valve and air reservoir with wire brake plumbing; a coupler cut lever and air hose on each end; a photo-etched roofwalk; separately applied end cages and etched end platforms; and a standard draft gear box with a screw-mounted lid. It rides on Genesis 100-ton trucks with animated spinning roller bearing caps and 36-inch machined wheels with RP25 contours for smooth operation on most HO track. Weighted for stable handling, it uses body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers and is suited to minimum radii of 18 inches, with 22 inches recommended for reliable curve performance.
