It features an on-board NCE DCC decoder that operates on both DCC and conventional DC layouts, with LED lighting for interior and marker lights controllable in DCC. The model is richly detailed with road-name and road-number graphics, see-through end platforms, etched metal window screens, flush glazing, wire-form grab irons, and full underframe detail, all mounted on machined metal wheels with body-mounted scale knuckle-spring couplers.
