Reproduced from prototype drawings and field measurements, this ready-to-run model features see-through end screens, an inner bulkhead, end platforms, and factory ladders, while riding on 100-ton roller bearing trucks with machined RP25 wheels and being weighted for reliable operation. It incorporates full underframe detail, trainline hoses, and door closures, with two exhaust-stack options—straight pipe with a flapper or a T-shaped smokejack—for prototype accuracy; brake configurations, coupler styles, and McHenry scale knuckle couplers mirror historical practice. The model is sized for HO layouts with a minimum 18-inch radius and 22 inches recommended for best performance.

Sound-equipped variants include onboard SoundTraxx audio, recorded from the actual reefer unit, with sound cycling on and off and drawing minimal track power; volume is adjustable on the sound board. For weathering enthusiasts, primed-for-grime versions replicate the in-service look with faded base colors matched to the prototype, providing a ready starting point for adding grime and rust.
