HO-scale 57-foot Fruit Growers Express Mechanical Reefer with Sound is a precise, ready-to-run model that recreates a classic mechanical refrigeration car built to haul perishables across the railroad. Available with onboard SoundTraxx sound, this reefer is scaled from prototype drawings and field measurements to deliver authentic proportions and realistic end detailing for a convincing fleet on any HO layout.

Detailing covers the era from end screens and end-wall corrugation to inner bulkhead and see-through end platforms, with two exhaust stack styles to match the prototype. The full underframe features Keystone cushioning, air brake reservoir, control valve, brake cylinder and plumbing, plus a fuel tank. Factory ladders and door-closure rods, trainline hoses with silver ends, and multiple coupler lever styles reflect prototypical variations, while 100-ton roller-bearing trucks with rotating caps, machined RP25 wheels, and a weighted chassis ensure smooth operation on standard track.
