Based on prototype drawings and field measurements, this reefer recreates the postwar mechanical refrigeration era with accurate proportions, see-through end screens, visible end-wall corrugation, and an inner refrigerator bulkhead for authentic realism.

The model features full underframe detail, including Keystone cushioning, air brake reservoir, control valve, brake cylinder and plumbing, and a fuel tank. Factory-applied end ladders and door closure rods, trainline hoses with silver ends, and multiple coupler cut lever styles reflect prototype variations, while 100-ton roller bearing trucks with rotating bearing caps and machined RP25 wheels ensure smooth operation. It arrives fully assembled and weighted for reliable running, with a minimum recommended radius of 22 inches (18 inches on tighter layouts). Sound-equipped versions carry authentic onboard audio sourced from a real reefer unit, with volume adjustable and the sound able to cycle on and off. Some releases are primed for grime, delivering a believable in-service base to weather for added realism.
