HO-scale GE Dash 9-44CW locomotive in BNSF wedge livery with DCC and sound is a highly detailed freight model designed for realistic operation on a home layout. It includes an onboard DCC decoder and SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound, delivering authentic engine, horn, and bell effects on DCC layouts while remaining operable on DC. Realistic lighting—illuminated ground lights above the front trucks, front and rear walkway lights, and number boards—recreates the Dash 9’s night-time silhouette, complemented by etched, see-through walkway steps for extra realism.

Under the shell, the Genesis drivetrain combines a heavy die-cast frame with a 5-pole skew-wound motor, precision flywheels, and a multi-link drivetrain for smooth, quiet operation. It rides on RP25-contoured wheels with body-mounted scale knuckle couplers and all-wheel drive with proven electrical pickup for dependable performance. Painted and printed to prototype accuracy, it features fine Celcon handrails and a detailed fuel tank with gauges and breather pipes. The sound-equipped variant adds a DCC decoder with Tsunami2 sound and dual cube speakers, with full DCC functionality and engine/horn/bell sounds available in DCC mode and selectable in DC. The model accepts CV adjustments (CV chart included), runs on minimum 18" curves (22" recommended), and is packaged securely for safe storage.
