HO GE Dash 9-44CW Locomotive with DCC & Sound, CN #2506 (ATHG-1225)

This HO-scale GE Dash 9-44CW diesel locomotive with DCC and sound brings authentic mainline freight power to an HO layout. Finished in Canadian National livery, the model features illuminated ground lights above the front trucks, front and rear walkway lights, and number boards, plus etched see-through walkway steps and see-through cab windows with a full cab interior to capture the prototype's look and operation.

Under the hood, a Genesis driveline sits in a heavy die-cast frame for strong traction and quiet, smooth operation, with all-wheel drive and electrical pickup for reliable running. RP25-contoured wheels and body-mounted scale knuckle couplers keep the model on track, while the sound-equipped version includes an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2, dual cube speakers, and full DCC functionality; engine, horn, and bell sounds also operate on DC power. The DCC-ready design accepts plug-and-play connectivity and CV-based tuning for slow-speed control and MU lashups, with a CV chart included to aid setup. Prototype-derived detailing and accurate paint schemes—plus a detailed fuel tank, walkways, wipers, and other scale features—provide a convincing, screen-accurate appearance. Minimum turning radius is 18 inches, with 22 inches recommended for best performance on most layouts.
