HO GP7R Locomotive CNW #4140 (ATHG-1235)

HO GP7R Locomotive CNW 4140 is a detailed HO-scale replica of a rebuilt GP7R road switcher, designed to bring CNW’s 4140 into a modern layout. The model features see-through cab windows with a full interior, a detailed fuel tank with gauges, etched radiator grilles, and fine Celcon handrails, all mounted on a heavy die-cast frame for authentic weight and traction. It rides on Blomberg-B trucks with RP25 wheel contours for smooth operation on common HO track, and includes LED lighting and body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers compatible with Kadee. A 21-pin NEM connector makes it easily DCC-ready through Quick Plug technology, and the running base is designed for minimum radii of 18 inches to fit many layouts.

Sound-equipped variants add an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 and dual cube speakers for realistic engine, horn, and bell sounds in both DC and DCC operation, with full DCC functionality when in DCC mode. The model supports MU lashups and CV adjustments (CV chart included) to tailor performance, with prototype accuracy drawn from drawings, measurements, and photos. Prototyped to reflect the GP7R’s rebuild heritage, this CNW 4140 locomotive provides a faithful, operation-focused centerpiece for HO layouts and displays.
