HO GP7 Locomotive EL #1214 Model (ATHG-1243)

HO GP7 Locomotive EL 1214 is a detailed HO-scale replica of EMD's GP7, designed to bring a classic diesel switcher to life on model railroad layouts. It features see-through cab windows with a full interior, scale Celcon handrails, etched radiator and fan grilles, and a heavy die-cast frame for added traction. The model rides on Blomberg-B trucks with bearing caps and uses RP25 wheel contours for smooth operation on most HO track. LED lighting adds realism, and the locomotive is available in both DC and DCC configurations, with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology via a 21-pin NEM connector for easy decoder installation. Body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers are Kadee-compatible for faithful coupling, and Genesis driveline components deliver a smooth, quiet ride with a 5-pole skew-wound motor, precision flywheels, and a multi-link drivetrain. Minimum radius is 18 inches, making it suitable for a wide range of layouts.

Prototype accuracy is a hallmark, with features such as roof access hatches per prototype, bell placement, a detailed fuel tank with gauges, air tanks mounted below the sill, and sander lines—all reproduced in scale.
