HO GP7 Locomotive with DCC and Sound in Amtrak livery is a detailed HO-scale model designed to faithfully reproduce the GP7’s compact diesel switcher silhouette while delivering realistic operation on modern layouts. It features a heavy die-cast frame and a Genesis driveline with a 5-pole skew wound motor for smooth, quiet pulling power, LED lighting, see-through cab windows with a full interior, etched radiator and fan grilles, wire grab irons, and fine-scale Celcon handrails. Body-mounted scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible) and RP25-wheel contours ensure prototypical coupling and reliable running on standard track, with an 18-inch minimum radius suitable for many layouts.

Sound-equipped versions add an onboard DCC decoder with Tsunami2 sound and dual cube speakers, delivering engine, horn, and bell sounds that work on both DC and DCC. In DCC mode, full function control is available and CVs can be adjusted to tailor performance, including MU lashups with a lead-unit horn and lights. The Amtrak livery is accurately painted and printed, and the model offers quick-plug DCC readiness via a 21-pin NEM connector for straightforward setup right out of the box.
