HO GP7 Locomotive with DCC and Sound EL #1207 (ATHG-1257)

An HO-scale GP7 locomotive with DCC and sound, designed for realistic operation on modern layouts. This model captures the GP7’s compact, short-hood silhouette with see-through cab windows and a detailed interior, all mounted on a heavy die-cast frame for traction. It rides on Blomberg-B trucks with bearing caps, uses body-mounted scale knuckle couplers, and features LED lighting with RP25-contoured wheels for smooth performance on a broad range of track. DCC-ready Quick Plug plug-and-play technology with a 21-pin NEM connector keeps digital setup straightforward, and the locomotive can run on both DC and DCC.

Sound-equipped versions include an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and dual cube speakers for clear, lifelike audio. The system operates in both DC and DCC, offering full DCC functionality and precise slow-speed control. It supports programming a multiple-unit lashup and adjusting many functions via CV changes (a CV chart is included). The GP7 is faithfully detailed with features like see-through cab windows, etched radiator and fan grilles, and Celcon handrails, plus a detailed fuel tank. The minimum operating radius is 18 inches, making it suitable for a wide range of layouts and track configurations.
