HO GP7 Locomotive DCC and Sound Undecorated (ATHG-1262)

An HO-scale GP7 Locomotive with DCC and Sound in undecorated finish, available in standard undecorated and undecorated with Dynamic Brake Phase II variants. This detailed model captures the GP7’s classic silhouette and mechanical layout, and includes an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and dual speakers for authentic engine, horn, and bell audio. It runs in both DC and DCC modes with full DCC functionality, and Quick Plug plug-and-play technology with a 21-pin NEM connector makes installation straightforward. Body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible) are installed for reliable coupling, while the undecorated shell invites painting and lettering to match a chosen railroad.

On the rails, this GP7 delivers solid performance with a heavy die-cast frame for traction, Blomberg-B trucks with bearing caps, see-through cab windows and a full cab interior, and etched radiator grilles with fine-scale Celcon handrails for a highly realistic silhouette. LED lighting, RP25 wheel contours, and all-wheel electrical pickup contribute to quiet, smooth operation, while the drive system provides precise slow-speed control and strong pulling power. It runs on HO track with a minimum radius of 18 inches and uses body-mounted couplers compatible with Kadee. The DCC-ready Quick Plug arrangement accepts the Tsunami2 sound package and two speakers, and CV-based adjustments let operators tailor speed, sound, and other functions to taste. The Dynamic Brake Phase II variant adds authentic dynamic braking for more realistic operation on appropriate layouts.
