HO PS-2 2893 3-Bay Covered Hopper WCTX #088 (ATHG-1275)

HO scale 3-bay covered hopper, WCTX #088, is a highly detailed freigth model designed for HO layouts. It accurately recreates a prototypical in-service car with features such as separately applied round roof hatches, factory-applied wire grab irons, and a full underframe including air brake reservoir, control valve, brake cylinder with plumbing, and brake lines. The car rides on machined nickel-silver RP25 wheels (33" diameter) that run on most HO track brands, and it uses body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers for authentic coupling. A photo-etched roof walk and detailed outlets add to the scale fidelity, while the model is weighted for smooth operation and designed for a minimum radius of 18 inches. The finish is painted and printed for a realistic in-service look.

For weathering fans, the grime-ready variant provides a faithful starting point for adding grime and rust, duplicating the look of equipment in service with faded base colors matched to the prototype. The car also includes coupler lift bars, trainline hoses, brake hoses, and hardware to boost authenticity when placed in yard or mainline scenes.
