The N ACF 2970 Covered Hopper is a detailed representation of the classic freight car designed for carrying denser bulk commodities such as cement and sand. This model features a unique Primed For Grime finish, which emulates the look and feel of equipment that has been in service, complete with faded base colors that match the prototype. It serves as an excellent foundation for customization with grime and rust effects.

This 2-bay covered hopper was inspired by the design introduced by American Car and Foundry in the 1960s, characterized by its rounded body which offers structural strength while simplifying gravity unloading. Its 2,970-cubic foot capacity allows for versatile cargo handling.
