HO GP18 Locomotive NEGS #503, ATHG-1358 is a detailed HO-scale model of the GP18 diesel switcher, designed to bring prototype accuracy and authentic operation to a layout. This NEGS variant captures the road’s look with a non-dynamic configuration featuring roof access hatches, a 1700-gallon fuel tank, and road-name specifics such as ex-Rock Island 1341, along with dual cab strobes, a Nathan P5 horn, front and rear plows, and expert artwork for an authentic appearance.

Inside, the model rides on a Genesis driveline with a five-pole motor and a heavy die-cast frame for traction, with Blomberg-B trucks and RP25 wheel contours for smooth, reliable operation on HO track. It uses body-mounted scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible) and is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology and a 21-pin NEM connector. See-through cab windows and a full interior add realism, while sound-equipped versions feature an onboard DCC decoder with Tsunami2, dual speakers, and full DCC functionality in addition to DC operation. Designed for HO layouts, it supports MU functionality via CV adjustments (CV chart included) and is optimized for 18" minimum curves (22" recommended).
