HO GP18 Locomotive NW #945 (ATHG-1359)

HO GP18 Locomotive NW 945 is a highly detailed HO-scale model that faithfully recreates the GP18 switcher for modern layouts. It features a see-through cab with full interior, fine-scale Celcon handrails, etched radiator and fan grilles, and a heavy die-cast frame that provides authentic weight and pulling power. The Genesis driveline uses a 5-pole skew-wound motor with all-wheel drive and all-wheel electrical pickup for smooth, quiet operation, while RP25 wheel contours help it ride well on common HO track. Body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee compatible) ensure realistic coupling, and Quick Plug plug-and-play technology with a 21-pin NEM connector makes DCC installation straightforward. The model supports both DC operation and DCC control, with bidirectional LED lighting that maintains consistent headlight brightness across directions.

NW 945 carries prototype-accurate road-number features including dynamic brakes, long hood forward operation, a 5-chime Leslie horn, exhaust spark arrestors, hood-mounted bell, and NW-modified left-side skirting with access doors. A large 1700-gallon fuel tank, footboard pilots, and the option for roof access hatches on non-dynamic variants further enhance the look, all presented in a Pelver blue scheme with the distinctive hamburger logo.
