HO GP18 Locomotive SBC #2306 (ATHG-1362)

HO Scale GP18 Locomotive SBC 2306 is a highly detailed HO-model that faithfully recreates the late-1950s EMD GP18 switcher. Designed for HO layouts, it runs on both DC and DCC layouts, and sound-equipped versions feature an onboard decoder with dual speakers for authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds. The model includes a see-through cab with a full interior, fine-scale Celcon handrails, etched radiator and fan grilles, and a heavy die-cast frame for extra traction. It is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology using a 21-pin NEM connector, and uses body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers that are compatible with Kadee systems. Prototype-inspired paint schemes and detailing complete the authentic look.

On the rails, the GP18 is powered by a Genesis driveline with a 5-pole skew-wound motor, precision flywheels, and a multi-link drivetrain for smooth, quiet operation and strong pulling power. All-wheel electrical pickup and RP25-contoured wheels ensure reliable performance on common HO track, while the see-through cab windows and full cab interior add to the realism. The model features etched grills and scale handrails, and is built for layout flexibility with a minimum 18-inch radius (22 inches recommended) and packaging designed to protect the model during storage and transit.
