HO GP18 Locomotive with DCC and Sound NEGS #503 (ATHG-1374)

HO-Scale GP18 Locomotive with DCC and Sound in NEGS livery is a detailed HO-model designed to bring prototype operation to a hobby layout. This model features onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 and two cube speakers, delivering authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds on DCC, with engine sounds and horn/bell working on DC as well. It’s DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology using a 21-pin NEM connector for easy installation.

Under the hood, a heavy die-cast frame and Genesis-style drivetrain with a 5-pole motor deliver steady pulling power and smooth, quiet operation, aided by all-wheel electrical pickup and RP25-contoured wheels. The model includes see-through cab windows and a full cab interior, fine-scale Celcon handrails, etched radiator and fan grilles, Blomberg-B trucks, and body-mounted scale knuckle couplers that are compatible with Kadee couplers. LED headlights stay bright in all directions, and a minimum 18" radius (22" recommended) helps prevent derailments on typical layouts. NEGS-specific features include non-dynamic with roof access hatches, a 1,700-gallon fuel tank, dual cab strobes, non-dynamic brakes, front and rear plows, a Nathan P5 horn, and expert-provided artwork to reproduce the NEGS scheme.
