HO GP18 Locomotive with DCC and Sound in Norfolk & Western 2704 livery. This HO-scale GP18 diesel switcher delivers authentic diesel power on your layout, equipped with a SoundTraxx Tsunami2 onboard decoder and dual cube speakers for rich engine, horn, and bell sounds that work on both DC and DCC systems. A Genesis driveline with a 5-pole skew-wound motor, precision machined flywheels, and a multi-link drivetrain provides smooth, quiet operation, while a heavy die-cast frame adds traction and pulling power.

NW 2704-specific detailing includes a short-hood-forward configuration with a front gyralight (visible in DCC), a short-hood-mounted bell, exhaust deflectors, and a right-side winterized window. The model rides on Blomberg-B trucks with bearing caps, uses body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible), and offers see-through cab windows with a full cab interior and fine-scale Celcon handrails for a true-to-scale look. It is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology and a 21-pin NEM connector, supports NMRA DCC functions, and uses RP25 wheel contours for reliable operation on most HO tracks. For layout planning, a minimum 18" radius is recommended, with 22" or larger preferred for optimum performance.
