HO GP38-2 Diesel Locomotive with DCC and Sound is a detailed HO-scale model designed for realistic mainline power on modern layouts. This sound-equipped locomotive features a DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound, dual cube speakers, and full DC and DCC functionality so engine, horn, and bell sounds respond to the throttle. It’s DCC-ready with Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector and rides on a Genesis driveline with a 5-pole motor and a heavy die-cast frame for smooth, quiet pulling power. Realistic details include see-through cab windows, full cab interior, windshield wipers, wire grab irons, Celcon handrails, and a detailed fuel tank with gauges and breather pipes, plus body-mounted McHenry knuckle couplers, RP25 wheels, and LED lighting to complete the prototype look. It’s designed for 18-inch minimum-radius curves on HO layouts.

On the layout, it operates in both DC and DCC modes, offering precise slow-speed control and NMRA-compatible functions in DCC.
