This HO-scale acid tank car models a 13,000-gallon chemical tanker, designed to add authentic acid-hauling operations to HO-scale model railroads.

Authentic detailing includes two body phases to reflect early and late versions, prototype-appropriate top platforms, separate wire grabs and handrails, etched metal walkways, and full underframe detail with air brake reservoir, control valve, and brake cylinder with plumbing and brake rods. The car rides on trucks with rotating bearing caps and uses body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers, plus a host of separately applied details such as coupler lift bars, trainline hoses, brake hoses, and varied end sills and brake systems to mirror different prototypes. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours ensure smooth operation on most track brands, and a minimum 18-inch radius is recommended for reliable layout performance. Multiple road numbers provide fleet variation across singles and 3-packs.
