HO-scale 13,000-gallon acid tank car, RPBX 23201, is a detailed model designed for realistic freight operations on HO layouts. It lets you recreate chemical shipments with authentic scale detail, adding depth to any modern or historical layout.

Authenticity is built in with two body phases (early and late) and prototype-appropriate top platforms, plus separate wire grabs and handrails. The model rides on trucks with animated rotating bearing caps and uses body-mounted, McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers. Under the hood, it features full underframe detail—the air-brake reservoir, control valve, and brake cylinder with plumbing and brake rods—along with etched metal walkways, prototype-specific brake systems and end sills, and a full set of extra hardware such as coupler lift bars and trainline and brake hoses. Numerous separately applied details enhance realism, while machined metal RP25 wheels ensure smooth operation on most track, with a minimum radius of 18 inches.
