HO ICC CA-11 Caboose with Lights, UP 'Snowbus' #25872 (ATHG-1450)

An HO-scale Union Pacific CA-11 caboose with lights in the Snowbus configuration, this ready-to-run model brings UP’s late-1970s caboose design to life on an HO layout. It features an on-board DCC decoder by NCE, enabling operation in both DCC and analog layouts with lighting functions controllable in DCC. Inside, a fully detailed interior includes a conductor’s desk, stove, sink, bath, and radio stand, while the exterior offers see-through end platforms, etched window screens, wire-form grab irons, and precise paintwork. Machined RP25 wheels deliver smooth operation on common HO track, the car is weighted for steady performance, and it’s fully assembled and ready to run right out of the box. Prototypical detailing and accurate painting are designed to match UP’s prototype, with a minimum turning radius of 18 inches for easy operation on standard layouts.

LED lighting provides long-life interior and marker illumination with brightness control, and all functions are NMRA-compatible in DCC mode. Snowbus refinements include enclosed end porches, insulated windows, MU pedestals and a center porch light, plus UP-style refinements such as modified steps and additional handrails found on these cars.
