HO GP7u Locomotive with DCC & Sound, Ex-ATSF Patched is a ready-to-run HO-scale model that recreates Santa Fe’s GP7u units rebuilt and patched for service on other railroads. It blends prototypical detailing with modern electronics for authentic operation on an HO layout, featuring see-through cab windows, LED lighting, a heavy die-cast frame for traction, and a refined drivetrain designed for smooth, quiet performance.

Inside, the model carries a DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and two speakers for clear engine and horn effects, operable in both DC and DCC. It uses Quick Plug plug-and-play technology with a 21-pin NEM connector for easy DCC setup, RP25 wheels for track compatibility, and a Genesis 5-pole motor that delivers steady power. Patch variants reflect prototype specifics such as nose-mounted or cab-mounted headlights, four exhaust stacks, a Nathan K3LA horn on a bracket, cab air conditioning, and a large Sinclair antenna with ground plane, with an undecorated version also available for custom liveries. The minimum operating radius is 18 inches, making it suitable for a wide range of HO layouts.
