HO UTC 33K LPG Tank Car Primed for Grime (ATHG-1513)

HO UTC 33K LPG Tank Car, Primed for Grime, is a highly detailed HO-scale model designed to depict an in-service LPG tank car with a weathered, grime-ready finish, ideal for adding authentic aging to a layout.

On the detailing front, this model includes multiple road numbers, a separately applied walkway platform, manway, outlet, ladders, brake rigging detail, safety rail supports and tank saddles, plus full underframe detail with brakes matched to the prototype. It features three body phases—early, flat panel and late—along with 100-ton trucks with animated bearing caps, machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, photo-etched walkways and end platforms, wire safety rails and end handrails, printed placards, and body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers. The car is weighted for stable operation and designed for a minimum 18-inch radius on typical HO layouts. The Primed for Grime treatment duplicates the look of in-service equipment, with faded, dull base colors matched to the prototype, providing a perfect starting point for adding grime and rust to taste.
