HO UTC 33K LPG Tank Car, Early NATX variant, is an HO-scale model that reproduces a 33,000-gallon LPG tanker used by NATX in its early fleet. It features multiple road numbers and three body phases—early, flat panel, and late—providing roster variety for prototypical trains. The model includes separately applied walkways, manways, outlets, ladders, brake rigging detail, safety rail supports, and tank saddles, with full underframe detail and brakes arranged as in the prototype. Equipped with 100-ton trucks with animated bearing caps, machined metal wheels with RP25 contours, and a finely painted and printed finish, it delivers a convincing in-service appearance. Additional touches include coupler lift bars, trainline hoses, brake hoses, printed placards, photo-etched walkways, and wire safety rails, plus body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers for dependable operation.

Primed for grime models, this car presents a faithful in-service look with faded, dull-coated base colors matched to the prototype. It’s ready to weather, making it easy to add grime and rust for a truly lived-in roster. The injection-molded body shows sharp detail, and the car is weighted for smooth running on standard HO layouts, with a minimum operating radius of 18 inches.
