HO UTC 33K LPG Tank Car Early NATX #1095 (ATHG-1516)

An HO-scale UTC 33K LPG Tank Car, Early Era (NATX 1095), is a precision model designed for realistic freight operation on HO layouts. It reproduces a 33,000-gallon LPG tank car from mid-century service, delivering authentic detail and dependable performance for both display and running trains.

Prototype accuracy comes to life with multiple road numbers and three body phases—early, flat-panel, and late—along with separately applied walkways, manways, outlets, ladders, brake rigging, safety rail supports and tank saddles. The underframe is fully detailed, with either body-mounted brakes or truck-mounted brakes, and the car rides on 100-ton trucks with animated bearing caps and RP25 wheels. Finishing touches include printed placards, coupler lift bars, trainline hoses, brake hoses and other hardware, plus body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers. The injection-molded body is highly detailed, the model is weighted for steady operation, and it fits HO layouts with a minimum radius of 18 inches. Primed for grime, it offers a realistic starting point for weathering to reproduce an in-service appearance with faded colors and rust.
