An N-scale replica of the ACF 4600 Center-Flow Covered Hopper, this model recreates the mid-1960s three-bay hopper car built by American Car and Foundry for grain and other bulk loads. It features a rounded Center Flow body, round or trough hatches, a photo-etched roofwalk, detailed outlets, and a separately applied brake wheel. The car rides on 100-ton trucks with 36-inch machined metal wheels and uses body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers, with a weighted chassis for smooth running. The finish includes precise painting and printing to match prototype appearance, and the minimum curve radius for operation is 9¾ inches.

Primed for grime versions mirror the look of in-service equipment, with faded base colors matched to the prototype and a ready starting point for adding grime and rust. Prototype background: The 3-bay Center Flow hopper entered service in the mid-1960s, built by American Car and Foundry for grain and similar bulk loads. The rounded body design provides structural strength and gravity unloading by eliminating the traditional center sill, and the 4600 cu ft capacity version was widely adopted to fit within Plate B clearances for light branchline and industrial service.
