ACF 4600 Covered Hopper Cars — Set of Three. These detailed model railroad cars reproduce the mid-1960s Center Flow hopper design used for grain and other bulk loads. The trio covers early, mid, and late body styles, including round or trough hatches and a photo-etched roofwalk, all accurately painted and printed for a realistic in-service look. Each car rides on 100-ton trucks with 36" machined metal wheels, uses body-mounted scale knuckle couplers, and is weighted for smooth, reliable operation on typical layouts, with a minimum radius of 9¾ inches for easy handling on compact track plans.

Primed for grime: the finish mirrors faded, in-service equipment, providing a perfect starting point for weathering with grime and rust. In prototype, the 3-bay Center Flow hopper entered service in the mid-1960s, built by American Car and Foundry to haul grain, corn and similar bulk loads. Its rounded body design strengthens the car while enabling gravity unloading and eliminating the traditional center sill, making the 4600 cu ft version a common, versatile choice across many railroads that needed efficient performance within tighter Plate B clearances on lighter branchline and industrial service.
