The ACF 4600 Center Flow Covered Hopper is a detailed HO-scale model that recreates the mid-1960s three-bay hopper built by American Car and Foundry for grain and bulk cargo service. Its rounded Center Flow body and 4600 cubic-foot capacity capture the look and character of the era’s modern grain cars, designed for gravity unloading and efficient operation on rail networks.

Along with a highly detailed injection-molded body, the model features a photo-etched roofwalk, precise outlets, and a separately applied brake wheel, all mounted on screw-mounted 100-ton trucks with 36-inch machined wheels and weighted for smooth running. Finished in a primed-for-grime scheme that mirrors in-service appearance, with faded base colors matched to the prototype, it’s an ideal starting point for weathering grime and rust.
