HO SD70M Locomotive, Primed for Grime — Union Pacific #4090 is a highly detailed HO-scale model designed to bring the look of an in-service locomotive to a layout. The primed-for-grime finish provides an authentic weathered base and a ready starting point for adding grime and rust. Built on a heavy die-cast frame with a Genesis driveline and a 5-pole motor, it delivers smooth, quiet operation and strong pulling power. It is DCC-ready with a Quick Plug 21-pin NEM connector, features LED lighting and a full cab interior visible through see-through cab windows, along with scale-grade Celcon handrails, RP25 wheel contours, and body-mounted McHenry knuckle couplers (Kadee compatible) for reliable running on common HO tracks.

UP #4090-specific detailing includes flat radiators, PTC antennas, front round-top ditch lights, a K3LA horn, standard sunshades, and a freight-style brake wheel. The road-number specific features also note replacement doors under the cab and partial Building America lettering with slightly faded paint to reproduce a distinctive weathered look. The Primed for Grime finish is designed as a ready weathering platform for a Union Pacific roster, and sound-equipped variants can add onboard Tsunami2 sound with full DCC functionality, while the base model remains operable in DC or DCC on HO layouts. It is optimized for HO layouts with an 18" minimum radius (22" recommended) for smooth operation.
