HO-scale DRGW F7A/F7B Locomotives — a two-unit set that faithfully recreates the Denver Rio Grande Western's classic EMD F-unit diesels in HO scale. The F7A (A unit) and F7B (B unit) feature see-through cab windows and a full cab interior, lit signal lights and beacons where applicable, detailed fuel tanks with gauges, windshields, wire grab irons, and sand lines. Body-mounted scale knuckle couplers are Kadee-compatible for prototypical coupling, while etched metal and injection-molded parts add to the fine detailing. A heavy die-cast frame provides traction, and the Genesis driveline with a 5-pole skew-wound motor, precision flywheels, and multi-link drivetrain delivers smooth, quiet pulling power. All-wheel electrical pickup helps maintain reliable current, and RP25 wheel contours ensure compatibility with popular HO brands. DCC-ready Quick Plug plug-and-play with a 21-pin NEM connector enables easy digital setup, and LED lighting enhances realism. The model is scaled from prototype drawings and measurements, designed for HO layouts with a minimum 18-inch curve (22 inches recommended) for best operation.

Sound-equipped variants include onboard DCC with SoundTraxx Tsunami2, dual speakers, and separate sound boards in both A and B units—providing authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds, plus improved low-speed performance. These versions run on both DC and DCC, with NMRA-compatible CVs for customization and the ability to program MU lashups from the lead unit.
