HO F7A/F7B Locomotives with DCC & Sound - DRGW (ATHG-1638)

HO-scale DRGW F7A and F7B locomotives with DCC and sound bring the iconic EMD F‑unit to life on modern HO layouts. These ready-to-run models pair an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound, delivering authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds that operate in both DC and DCC. Dual cube speakers provide clear, balanced audio, while NMRA-compatible functions and MU lashup capabilities enhance operation. The locomotives ride on a heavy die-cast frame with a Genesis driveline and a 5-pole motor for smooth, quiet pulling, and they feature LED lighting, see-through cab windows with a detailed interior, body-mounted scale knuckle couplers, and accurate DRGW livery crafted from prototype references.

Designed for DRGW-era operation, these F7A units showcase Phase II nose details, 48" dynamic brakes on the A-units, and nail-type antennas, with the B-unit carrying a single-chime hostler/back-up horn. The model is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology using a 21-pin NEM connector and supports prototypical lighting effects such as beacons or Gyralight where appropriate.
