HO P42DC Locomotive with DCC & Sound, AMTK Phase V 'Low Wave' #123 (ATHG-1693)

The HO-scale Amtrak Genesis P42DC locomotive with DCC and sound, Unit 123, brings Amtrak’s Phase V “Low Wave” livery to life on a model railroad, designed to run on both DC and DCC power with authentic engine sounds and working lights for a realistic passenger-service scene.

It features four nose variations—Amtrak as-built with strobes, Amtrak as-built without strobes, Amtrak rebuilt, and Via—plus Phase V AMTK detailing like the lighter blue shade and Sinclair antennas. The model includes LED headlights, ditch lights, and marker lights with newly-tooled lit number boards, a detailed underframe, flexible hoses, and a photo-etched radiator grille. Powered by a robust 5-pole motor in a redesigned die-cast frame with all-wheel drive, it delivers strong, smooth operation and reliable current pickup with RP25-contoured wheels. The DCC-ready design uses Quick Plug and a 21-pin NEM connector, and Tsunami2 sound with dual speakers provides authentic engine, horn, and bell sounds in DCC (DC operation remains functional). It’s ready to run out of the box, with an 18" minimum radius (22" recommended) and compatibility with Kadee-compatible couplers for prototypical lashups.
