The Primed for Grime finish reproduces the weathered look of locomotives in active duty, providing a believable starting point for adding grime and rust. Each unit includes an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound and dual cube speakers, delivering authentic engine, horn, and bell effects that perform on both DC and DCC layouts. Rich detailing—see-through cab windows, a full interior, etched metal fan grilles, and a heavy die-cast frame—complements realistic lighting and sturdy, smooth operation.

Designed for layout versatility, the set uses body-mounted McHenry scale-knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible), RP25-contoured wheels for smooth tracking, and LED Lighting for lifelike signaling. A Genesis driveline with a 5-pole motor, all-wheel drive, and electrical pickup underpins confident pulling power, while Quick Plug plug-and-play technology with a 21-pin NEM connector eases DCC installation. In DC, engine, horn, and bell sounds work, with all functions NMRA-compatible in DCC mode (some functions may be limited in DC).
