This HO-scale GP40-2 Locomotive, Road #141, is a detailed model designed to faithfully reproduce EMD’s early dash-2 freight power for HO layouts. It features a modular dash-2 electrical cabinet, accurate Blomberg trucks, fine-scale handrails, see-through cab interiors, lit number boards, and LED lighting, all mounted on a heavy die-cast frame for realistic weight and traction. The model runs on RP25-contoured wheels with body-mounted knuckle couplers that are compatible with Kadee systems, and it’s ready for modern digital control with DCC-ready Quick Plug plug-and-play technology and a 21-pin NEM connector.

Road-name specific detailing spans schemes from DRGW and SP to CSX, UP, FEC, and Chessie, offering period‑correct variations in features such as cab details, beacons, nose or plow configurations, and other prototype cues. Sound-equipped versions add onboard DCC sound with Tsunami2 and dual speakers, plus full NMRA‑compatible functions in DCC mode, while there are weathering-ready “Primed for Grime” variants as starting points for realism.
