HO F89F Bi-Level Auto Rack SLSF/TTBX (ATHG-1770)

The HO F89F Bi-Level Auto Rack is an HO-scale freight car crafted to faithfully reproduce a bi-level auto carrier used in SLSF/TTBX service. The model combines a die-cast underframe with a highly detailed injection-molded body and authentic Whitehead and Kales auto rack detailing. End bridge plates are included where applicable, and the finish features separately applied wire grab irons, precise paint and printing, plus period-correct hardware such as coupler lift bars and trainline and brake hoses. Machined metal wheels with RP25 contours ensure reliable operation on a wide range of track.

It rides on 70-ton roller bearing trucks with animated rotating bearing caps and uses body-mounted McHenry scale double-shelf knuckle couplers for authentic coupling. The design includes a detailed deck, prototypical ride height, and authentic undulating safety railing, with era-appropriate options like early or late train lines, cut levers, and a separately-applied hand brake. For HO layouts, the model is best suited to curves with a minimum 22-inch radius, with 24 inches or larger recommended for smooth operation.
