HO GEN SD50 Locomotive Missouri Pacific #5014 (ATHG-1846)

This HO-scale Missouri Pacific SD50 locomotive from the Genesis line is a faithful recreation of EMD’s 3,500-horsepower freight locomotive from the early 1980s. Designed for HO layouts, it captures the longer frame and period detailing that bridges the Dash 2 era with later, microprocessor-equipped diesels. The model is built to run on standard HO track and supports both DC and DCC operation, with LED headlights and a full cab interior visible through see-through cab windows for a hands-on, immersive operating experience.

MP-specific detailing includes an as-delivered appearance, a 4,500-gallon fuel tank, frame-mounted bell, Xenon strobe lighting (effective in DCC), a newly-tooled Leslie 3-chime horn, HTC trucks with animated Timken bearings, and late-frame features such as vertical pilots and blunt anticlimbers. The model also features a detailed cab interior, wire grab irons, and scale handrails, plus RP25 wheel contours for reliable operation on common HO layouts. It is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology via a 21-pin NEM connector, and rides on a heavy die-cast frame for strength and smooth pulling power; optional SoundTrax Tsunami2 sound can be added for authentic locomotive audio.
