Baltimore and Ohio 8581 HO-scale Genesis EMD SD50 locomotive with DCC and sound. This detailed HO model is designed for model railroad layouts, capturing the SD50’s longer frame, cab interior, and prototype-specific touches to bring 1980s–1990s freight power to life.

Equipped with onboard DCC decoder and SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound, dual cube speakers, and full DCC functionality, this locomotive runs on both DC and DCC with precise slow-speed control. It features Quick Plug plug-and-play technology with a 21-pin NEM connector for easy setup, and a heavy die-cast frame with a 5-pole skew-wound motor for steady pulling power. Prototypical details include see-through cab windows, a full cab interior, LED lighting, and body-mounted scale knuckle couplers.
