HO Genesis EMD SD50 Locomotive with DCC & Sound in CSX YN2 #8564 livery. This HO-scale model faithfully recreates EMD’s 3,500-horsepower SD50 and includes an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound, plus two cube speakers for rich, realistic diesel audio. It runs on both DC and DCC layouts, with full DCC functionality and easy CV tuning for prototypical control, and it uses a 21-pin NEM plug for simple DCC upgrades if desired.

Road-number specific features reproduce the 8564 CSX repaint—blue anticlimbers, CSX body placement, class light plates on both ends, and CSX-style number boards—along with CSXT detailing such as the freshly repainted appearance (1991+) and EMD HTC trucks with animated Timken bearings. The model rides on a heavy die-cast frame with all-wheel drive and electrical pickup, features see-through cab windows and a full cab interior, plus walkways, grab irons, MU hoses and lift rings. It is designed for HO layouts with a 22-inch minimum radius and includes a CV chart for tuning performance on DCC layouts.
