HO GEN ICC Wide-Vision Caboose DRGW #01507 (ATHG-1871)

HO Scale ICC Wide-Vision Caboose for DRGW captures the iconic late-1960s design that finished the train and provided a rear crew space. The model faithfully recreates the extended wide-vision cupola that projects beyond the car body, a feature used by many U.S. railroads as cars grew taller. It includes interior seating for crew figures, see-through end platforms and steps, flush glazing, and precisely painted and printed roadname lettering for a realistic, prototypical look on the layout.

On the layout it delivers reliability and realism: machined metal wheels with RP25 contours and a weighted chassis ensure smooth, trouble-free operation on standard HO track. The caboose arrives fully assembled and ready to run, with body-mounted scale knuckle-spring couplers and etched coupler platforms for authentic operation. LED lighting provides long-life interior and marker lights, driven by an on-board DCC lighting decoder that works in both DCC and analog layouts with brightness control; all functions are NMRA-compatible in DCC mode. The model features full underframe detail and is designed to work on layouts with a minimum 18-inch radius.
