HO GEN GP15-1 Locomotive, FCEN #655 (ATHG-1879)

HO-scale GP15-1 Locomotive in FCEN livery. This four-axle EMD GP15-1 diesel-electric switcher was built by General Motors’ Electro-Motive Division between 1976 and 1982 and was designed for yard work and light road service. The FCEN-numbered road unit 655 is faithfully reproduced and arrives fully assembled and ready to run, offering a compact, prototypical switcher for HO layouts.

On the rails, this GP15-1 delivers authentic operation with a host of scale details. It features DCC-ready Quick Plug technology with a 21-pin NEM connector, a full cab interior and see-through cab windows, LED lighting, wire grab irons, and a detailed fuel tank. The Genesis drivetrain uses a 5-pole motor, precision flywheels, and a multi-link drive for smooth, quiet performance, backed by a heavy die-cast frame and all-wheel electrical pickup. RP25 wheel contours ensure reliable tracking on HO track, and fine Celcon handrails add scale realism. Sound-equipped versions include a DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2, dual speakers, and full DC/DCC operation with CV adjustments and an included CV chart. Road-number specific detailing and era-accurate features such as lit number boards and ditch lights further enhance authenticity, and minimum curves of 18 inches are recommended (22 inches for best results).
