Introducing the HO Genesis ICC Cupola Caboose with Lights and Sound — a faithful HO-scale caboose designed to bring authentic caboose operation to model railroad layouts. This ready-to-run model from the Athearn Genesis line features a highly detailed injection-molded body, interior seating for crew figures, see-through end platforms, etched window screens, flush glazing, and wire-form grab irons, plus LED lighting and an on-board DCC decoder for operation in both DCC and analog power. It arrives fully painted and road-numbered for prototypical realism and is ready to place on the layout.

On the rails, the caboose rides on weighted, machined-metal wheels with RP25 contours and body-mounted knuckle-spring couplers for reliable operation. The underframe is richly detailed with air-brake components, and era-appropriate refinements include roof walks, wind deflectors, and marker lights in road-number-specific variants. Some configurations even feature a roof beacon when used with DCC.
