HO GEN GP39-2 PH IIB Locomotive BNSF #2732 (ATHG-1967)

HO-scale GP39-2 Phase IIb Diesel Locomotive, BNSF #2732. This highly detailed HO model reproduces EMD's GP39-2 Phase IIb road locomotive with authentic long-hood styling, a cab headlight on the BNSF version, and road-number specific detailing. Designed for HO layouts, it features a heavy die-cast frame for traction and a Genesis driveline with a five-pole skew-wound motor for smooth, quiet operation. See-through cab windows reveal a full cab interior, while fine Celcon handrails and etched metal fan grilles add realism. Body-mounted McHenry scale knuckle couplers (Kadee-compatible) and RP25 wheel contours ensure reliable coupling and smooth running on popular HO track. LED lighting enhances realism, and the model is DCC-ready with Quick Plug plug-and-play technology via a 21-pin NEM connector, making it easy to upgrade to DCC or sound-equipped operation where available.

Road-number 2732 features cab headlight; the BNSF variant showcases Phase II body styling with a large exhaust stack and road-number-specific details, along with front and rear ditch lights for authentic operation on layout. For sound-equipped variants, an onboard DCC decoder with SoundTraxx Tsunami2 drives engine, horn, and bell sounds through dual speakers, with all functions NMRA-compatible in DCC mode and CVs available to fine-tune performance. The model includes a detailed fuel tank with fillers and breather pipes, a see-through cab interior, and protective packaging for safe storage. The minimum recommended radius is 18 inches, ensuring compatibility with common HO-layout curves.
