This detailed HO model reproduces EMD’s mid-horsepower GP39-2 road switcher, capturing the Phase I long hood and a fully detailed cab interior. It includes an onboard DCC decoder and SoundTraxx Tsunami2 sound, paired with dual speakers to deliver authentic engine rumble, horn, and bell sounds in both DC and DCC operation for realistic operation on a home layout.

For the Santa Fe prototype, the features include early Phase I body styling with a rear-mounted fuel tank, large anticlimber, Stratolite cab beacon visible in DCC, and a Leslie 3-chime horn, plus a small front plow. The model rides on a heavy die-cast frame with Genesis gearing, a 5-pole motor, and all-wheel drive for smooth, quiet operation, while LED lighting, see-through cab windows, and fine-scale handrails add to the realism.
