HO-scale EMD SDP45 Diesel Locomotive WC #6634 is a ready-to-run model that faithfully reproduces the SDP45 prototype’s long hood and steam-generator-equipped design from the 1960s. This edition, part of Athearn’s Legendary Liveries lineup, offers a road-numbered finish with authentic paint that suits passenger-service era layouts or proto-freelance rosters with a distinctive, collectible look.

Built for HO-layout realism, the model features a heavy die-cast frame, Genesis drivetrain with a 5-pole motor for smooth, quiet operation, all-wheel drive and electrical pickup, RP25 wheel contours, LED lighting, fine-scale Celcon handrails, and body-mounted McHenry knuckle couplers. It’s DCC-ready with Quick Plug technology and a 21-pin NEM connector, and arrives fully assembled and ready to run. The design supports a minimum radius of 18 inches (22 inches recommended) on HO layouts.
